Why participate?
Many young people indicate that lessons about relationships and sexuality could be improved: less discomfort, more recognition and attention to current topics such as online behaviour, boundaries, diversity and pleasure. Research shows that sexual health and resilience are under pressure, including declining condom and (hormonal) contraceptive use and rising STI rates. Good relationship and sexuality education leads to more self-confident, sexually healthy and resilient young people.
Many schools also recognise that the subject is important, but it can sometimes feel uncomfortable or there may be too few suitable materials. That is why the Week of Love takes place from 9 to 13 February 2026. It is the ideal time to focus on the theme of online love and relationships together with other schools.
In 2025, almost 4,000 teachers and 250 schools participated. Will you get started again this year? Or are you participating for the first time and would you like to experience how valuable this is for your school? The Week of Love offers an accessible starting point!
