The focus of all working sessions is the exchange of knowledge, experiences and inspiring practical examples. The NJi also examines national policy developments and insights from research. During the three sessions in 2023, the NJi will explore the building blocks that schools can use to work towards care during school hours. In doing so, the NJi builds on the experiences gained by 50 ‘arranging schools’ over the past two years. And on the results in the research report by DSP/Oberon and the evaluation report by the Education Consultants.

Building blocks

The Solutions Labs focus on three building blocks: understanding the target group, the story behind the figures and future prospects. On 14 February, the NJi will focus on building block 1: how can you use data and parents’ perspectives to initiate the right conversation with the funders? The NJi will examine the target group and their support needs. It will also look at how you can determine the amount of care and support involved. What do you count as care during school hours, how much does all the care cost and from which funds is it paid? In discussion groups with the care coordinators, they will share their knowledge and experience regarding the questions you are dealing with in your own region.

The other two Solutions Labs will take place on 6 June and 7 November 2023.

The NJi is organizing the eleventh Solutions Lab together with the Association of Disability Care Providers (VGN), the Association of Netherlands Municipalities (VNG), Sector Council GO, and in cooperation with the Education Consultants and DSP/Oberon.
