What pupils and students need to feel good at school depends on various factors. These include their home situation, the neighbourhood in which they grew up and the significant experiences they have had. If you want to work towards the wellbeing of all pupils and students, it is important to take these factors into account.

In the Wellbeing at School lunchtime webinar, you will learn how taking a whole-school and integrated approach to wellbeing contributes to equal opportunities for pupils and students, and why this is so important. Participants will engage with two inspiring approaches:

  • The Amsterdam Family Schools will explain how they work with parents and community partners to strengthen pupils’ development opportunities and wellbeing.
  • Stichting Orion will discuss the importance and development of trauma-sensitive education, and how this contributes to a safe and supportive learning environment for every pupil and student.

In this webinar, you will learn more about:

  • The relationship between wellbeing and adverse circumstances or significant experiences
  • Trauma-sensitive working in education
  • Developing a community approach by working together with the school environment
  • Inspiring practical examples from the Amsterdam Family Schools and Trauma-Sensitive Education (TSO)
  • Practical tools and guidance for key individuals in and around education to get started with equal opportunities for wellbeing
