The School Gardening World Cup (officially Vegetable Garden World Cup for schools) will take place for the first time from March to June and is being organized by Landestini, a French non-profit organization. Over the past three years, more than 1,200 teams have already taken part in the French championship. Now it is time for a worldwide version.
With this World Cup, the organization aims to encourage school gardening and demonstrate all the positive outcomes it can bring: improving biodiversity, taking good care of the soil, educational value, and, of course, the enjoyment the children get from it.
The program

- Remote support with educational resources, a gardening guide, online meetings, and discussions with experts
- Ideas for activities in the school garden and monthly challenges
- An online platform for participants to ask questions and share tips with one another
- A kind of logbook to keep track of your progress, which also forms the basis for the jury’s assessment.
- An awards ceremony in June with no fewer than 13 prizes.
