Physical safety theme

Because the Physical safety theme is being discontinued, as of 2022 it will no longer be possible for schools in primary education, special education, secondary education and senior secondary vocational education to work on this theme as part of Healthy School. The Physical safety thematic certificate will also soon no longer be offered in primary education.

Schools that nevertheless wish to apply for or renew the Physical safety thematic certificate for primary education have until 30 November 2021 to do so. These schools will then be informed no later than 31 December whether the thematic certificate has been awarded. After it is issued, the thematic certificate is valid for three years, but its validity can no longer be extended after that. Schools to which this applies have already been informed.

Until recently, the Hearing theme could be found under the Physical safety theme. Hearing now has its own place as a health theme in primary education, secondary education and senior secondary vocational education. Hearing will also soon be available for special education.

Smoking and alcohol thematic certificate

The Smoking and alcohol theme for primary education will remain, but it will soon no longer be possible to apply for or renew the thematic certificate for this theme. The Smoking, alcohol and drug prevention thematic certificates for secondary education and senior secondary vocational education will remain in place.

Schools in primary or special education that nevertheless wish to apply for or renew the Smoking and alcohol thematic certificate have until 30 November 2021 to do so.
