There are all kinds of approaches aimed at getting children to move more and better in and around primary schools. In other words, an active school day. But how do you do that? Johan Koedijker (Knowledge Centre for Sport & Exercise) and Amika Singh (Mulier Institute) will explain what is needed to sustainably integrate more physical activity in and around schools. What can we learn from inspiring examples from abroad, such as the Whole School approach from the UK and the Danish approach? And what opportunities does the School and Environment programme (formerly the Rich School Day) offer the Netherlands?
