In addition to a number of points for attention, the document contains more information about:

  • Distance education (teachers at school, students at another location)
  • Primary education final test
  • Secondary education examinations

The following tips, among others, are provided for distance education:

  • Make a plan for the coming weeks and make use of Kennisnet.
  • Build on what is already available: have students make as much use as possible of already available (digital) learning resources and practice programmes.
  • If learning gaps arise, it is advisable to make a plan now for how these gaps can be made up later.
  • If choices have to be made when setting up distance education (as this can be arranged more quickly for some subjects than for others), it is advisable to start with the core subjects (especially in Year 6 of primary education) and, in secondary education, the examination classes, in order to prepare them as well as possible for the secondary education examinations.
  • If it is not immediately possible to set up distance education for all students, the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science and the inspectorate will be lenient regarding teaching time.
  • When students follow distance education at home, providing structure is very important.
