The idea for the database arose from a need in childcare and education. Having to reinvent the wheel time and again in the field of movement-based learning costs many organisations a great deal of time. The online database makes it possible to access ideas about movement-based learning free of charge. The lesson ideas are always available via computer, tablet or mobile phone. Children get what they need: more movement and movement-based learning. Professionals experience relief from their workload and gain inspiration by using lesson ideas from colleagues.

This year, the Movement-Based Learning Conference is aimed specifically at professionals who work with children between the ages of zero and seven. Policy officers, coaches and directors can also find inspiration there. After the opening performance, science journalist Mark Mieras will speak about brain development in relation to movement. During the two workshop sessions, examples of a diverse range of creative movement activities linked to science will be presented, allowing visitors to immediately experience how they can be applied in their work or policy. To top it all off, the Movement-Based Learning Database will be launched with a demo and a toast.
