There are, of course, already many sports and play equipment and facilities in public spaces that encourage children to exercise. The Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport is looking for new innovative physical solutions, concepts and products to encourage this target group (and their parents) to spend more time exercising and playing sports outdoors, while giving additional attention to movement skills. Do you have the solution? Then the Ministry would be pleased to receive your pitch!
What can you win?
- €160,000 in pilot funding, which can be divided among several pilots of up to €40,000 each. Goal: to realize a pilot/prototype and test it together with us.
- An interesting network of collaboration partners and municipalities.
- The possibility of a follow-up assignment, scaling up, or sustainable collaboration following a successful pilot.
- In addition, you can count on support and collaboration from creative and inspiring specialists who can challenge you to make your product even better.
What are we looking for?
Solutions, concepts and/or products that:
- Get children aged 0–12 moving outdoors.
- Encourage parents to take their children outside.
- Make public spaces more attractive places to be and play outdoors.
- Can ultimately be purchased/applied by municipalities.
The Ministry is looking for parties that want to and are able to carry out the pilot themselves and further develop and market it.
Do you have any (substantive) questions? Ask them via the Discussion page.
You can also read more about the procedure and the substantive assessment criteria in the accompanying ‘descriptive document’.
What are we not looking for?
- Solutions that are not (physically) scalable.
- Solutions that do not relate to public spaces.
