As a teacher, you encounter uncomfortable situations every day. Between your students, with parents or with colleagues. How do you address a colleague about transgressive behavior? Or how do you talk to parents about their child being bullied? These are just examples from daily practice. They raise the question: how can you use uncomfortable situations as learning opportunities? You will find out during your participation in the Met Alle Respect! education conference. Discomfort and uncertainty are part of educational practice and pedagogical action. Being able to deal with discomfort contributes to a socially safe atmosphere in the classroom, in the team and throughout the school.

All workshop leaders will use their expertise to explore the connection with discomfort and how to deal with it. For example: how do you engage in uncomfortable conversations about sensitive topics with your class or with parents? How do you recognize discomfort in yourself about certain topics, and how do you turn this into something positive? How can you use uncomfortable situations as learning opportunities?
