Into the Corner: A Challenging Learning Environment

This course is intended for pedagogical staff, nursery teachers, pedagogical coaches, and internal supervisors. The following topics will be discussed:
- Challenging play-learning environment
- Game and game guidance
- Link goals to game

In this (inter)active mini-course of 2 meetings, practice and theory alternate. Cooperative working methods are used during the meetings and the trainer makes extensive use of visual material. The participants also work practically, so that they can get inspired in their own learning environment. This workshop can be linked to a specific development area. For example, consider adding arithmetic stimuli in the play learning areas. This workshop can be expanded to a short course of 3 meetings!

After this course:
- Do the participants know how to set up a challenging play-learning environment;
- Have the participants been introduced to surprising materials and activities;
- Do the participants know how to guide young children in the zone of proximal development and how can use play interventions to guide children in their play;
- Do the participants know how to link goals to game (situations);
- Can the participants use an action plan to make their group structure more challenging.
