De Oplossing offers almost monthly workshops based on the books "Wiggle and Fidget in the Classroom" and "Wiggle and Fidget at Home" from SensoMatters. Perhaps you know that children sometimes get overstimulated and can't pay attention. Perhaps you also know that children are sometimes understimulated and, due to this lack of stimulation, either remain sleepy and lethargic or become overly active, seeking out additional stimulation. We'll tell you all about this, so you understand why children have that "Wiggle and Fidget" feeling. Want to learn more about sensory processing (ZiP)?
What Will You Learn During This 3 Hour Workshop?
Sensory processing is the same as sensory information processing. With the knowledge gained from this workshop, you can ensure that your under- or overstimulated child or student experiences less of this. Because that means they feel better, exhibit less disruptive behavior, and have better concentration!
What will you be able to do after this workshop?
• Use the sensory indicator to carefully determine whether behavior is caused by under- or overstimulation. This way, you'll learn to quickly recognize fidgeting and jiggling behavior.
• Recognize behavior based on photos and videos of fidgeting and jiggling children.
• Understand the difference between under- and overstimulated behavior by practicing with real-life examples.
• Whether your child or student is under- or overstimulated.
• Strategies for disruptive behavior that fit into your daily routine.
The result for home or in the classroom:
• Less frustration about disruptive behavior.
• Greater understanding for your child or student (and for yourself!)
• Fewer dramas.
• Children who can concentrate for longer periods.
