Workshop | Deepening Philosophy with Art

Target group: Subject teachers, educators and museum teachers | Anyone who has already been introduced to philosophy in a previous workshop by Marja van Rossum
Duration: 1 workshop of 2 hours.

The basic workshop Philosophizing with art and any further study will be offered and given by Marja van Rossum again in this school year 2023-2024 if there is sufficient interest.
We always do this with the same students from the Basic Workshop and it is planned shortly afterwards.

Introduction

Art intrigues, amazes, touches. And children always find something surprising to philosophize about.

Program

In this practice-oriented meeting you will receive a concise theoretical framework and an opportunity to practice. The following questions will be addressed:
You can philosophize about any artistic expression. But how? What should you do, and what not?
Which techniques can you use to get a conversation going or to get a stuck conversation going?
How do you round off? When do you stop?
How do you ensure that the participants do not lose sight of the artwork or stray from the subject?
It is a matter of looking and listening to your group, coming up with stimulating assignments and asking interesting questions.
