Conducting Difficult Classroom Conversations Workshop
It can be quite a challenge to have class discussions in a way that is both effective and safe and pleasant for all involved. This is especially true for difficult topics, such as manners, bullying, prejudice, radical ideas, conspiracy theories, social media, sexual development, religion, etc. In the context of citizenship education in particular, there is a growing need to be able to have class discussions about socially sensitive themes, such as racism, anti-Semitism, homophobia, nitrogen, sexuality, etc. These are also called abrasive conversations. Our workshop provides for this by tailoring it to the specific situation at your school.
The participants will work on their personal experiences and challenges so that everything learned can be directly applied in their own teaching practice. The content of the workshop "Conducting Difficult Classroom Conversations" is therefore determined in accordance with the wishes of the school and the participants' own experiences and learning needs . Because of this customization, the final content will always be unique, but the learning objectives below could be considered as inspiration.
