This workshop supports educators in teaching 21st century global competencies through an integrated STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) education approach. This workshop specifically focuses on the role of assessment as a catalyst for global competency learning, showing teachers how to leverage self- and peer-assessment processes as well as other formative and summative assessments to support creativity and innovation, critical thinking/problem solving skills, communication skills, collaboration skills, citizenship skills and social responsibility, and metacognition.
Participants will actively participate in this hands-on workshop by designing a STEAM task linked to global competencies for their own teaching context.
