Description

Creative thinking is getting a bigger and bigger role in the “learning of the future,” it is one of the 21st Century Skills. And rightly so, because life is full of challenges. Whether it's work, school or other activities, things don't always go as expected. Those who can think creatively can see opportunities and be flexible. He does not let himself be easily thrown off balance when things go differently than planned. Discovery, development, daring to make mistakes are all part of it. At the team training creative thinking we will do all kinds of exercises to train the creative mindset.

Creative Mindset, Growth Mindset
With a creative mindset you think in terms of possibilities, which makes you flexible in life. You don't let unexpected changes or situations hold you back, because you have faith in your own ideas and possibilities. The good news is that anyone can learn it. It's like building fitness, by training you get better at it. A creative mindset of students starts with the teacher.

For Whom

For teachers who:
- Want to train their creative mindset.
- Want to get started in the classroom with 'creative self-confidence', and can use tools for that.

What We Offer

We will work on:
- What is a creative mindset
- Which limiting thoughts stop you from being creative?
- Tips to train the creative mindset in yourself and subsequently in students.
- Sub-skills of creative thinking:

Diverging: Coming up with as many ideas as possible.
Flexible association: Making connections between things that at first glance seem to have nothing to do with each other.
Imagining: Transforming familiar things into something new.
Creative observation: Seeing, hearing, or feeling different and surprising things in everyday and familiar matters.

During this team training, we will do a lot, because we learn by doing. All sub-skills include practical activities that can be applied later in the classroom.

What You Get

At the end of this team training, you will be able to create a positive atmosphere for the students in which their creativity and imagination are stimulated and mistakes are allowed. This is an attitude that is applied at any time of the day and is not tied to a specific subject.

You will have practical tools that you can use to make children aware of their creative skills and to strengthen their confidence in them.

Duration and Number of Meetings

The team training can be offered in a part of the day of your choice. It is also possible to offer it as a workshop of one to one and a half hours.

Incompany

This school guidance is offered incompany, within your own school or board and with a group of participants composed by yourself. We ensure that the emphasis of the training is adapted to your situation. Please contact Semko to discuss the possibilities and rates.
