Training | Team Training Theater

Would you like to put theatre more firmly on the map with your colleagues? Under the guidance of our theatre experts, you will work on theatre expertise for teachers.

A whole team, from nursery school to group 8, working together on theatre. Or building expertise with a number of teachers. Each in their own way and working on their own goals. Together we build a method to make theatre lessons feasible and really embed them at school. Sometimes it is about very practical things, such as having the necessary materials available in the playroom or a good online location for lessons that colleagues have made, so that you can borrow from each other.

We see how valuable it is to receive theatre lessons from your own teacher. There is trust, which has already been built up during the school year. Pupil and teacher build on what is already there. And there is room for new contact. Contact on the stage, where both pupil and teacher show themselves from a new and playful side.

The structure of this project is as follows:
Phase 1: A kick-off meeting
We start with a meeting after school. To start, we zoom in on the ‘Why’ of theatre. Learning objectives are broader than just ‘acting scenes’ or ‘talking loudly and clearly’. Imagination and social-emotional learning objectives also play a role, and for example learning to present. Teachers are given inspiration, in the form of practical lesson ideas.

Phase 2: The Kick off
We take the time to coordinate with each teacher what he or she wants to develop. Together we determine an approach for the upcoming lessons that fits with this.

Phase 3: Theatre lesson with your own class
Then we do it side by side: The group teacher and a subject teacher from Podiumbeesten together give substance to a series of theatre lessons. This way we can learn by doing. Teachers discover what their own way is to tap into and expand the fun of acting!

Phase 4: Sharing results
After school we conclude the block and look to the future. Podiumbeesten visualizes the results and outcomes of the evaluation, so that the school can continue with it.

Did you do this training last year? In a subsequent school year, new teachers can join, and there is room for further development.

The training can also be shorter, with fewer meetings. It can be done with the entire team, but also with part of the team.
