Blended Intervision Process for Teams

Lessons in order – intervision for teams is a team training. This means that you not only work on your own development and on good weather in your own class, but that you also focus with your colleagues on a good climate for the entire school.

All participants will individually complete the training in the online learning environment. You will then work on a current issue or case at school or with one of your colleagues using various intervision models in a group of up to six colleagues. For this purpose, you will be provided with an intervision model for each module via the online environment that specifically matches the subject of that module. As an intervision group, you will work on this independently.

In addition, an inspirational meeting by expert lecturer Peter Teitler is part of the EduSeries. All colleagues at the school can attend this lecture, even if they do not participate in the intervision course.

Cell phones in the classroom, easily distracted students, increasing diversity in the composition of classes due to the Appropriate Education Act – maintaining order in these circumstances is an increasingly difficult task for many teachers.

In the book series Lessons in order by teacher and coach Peter Teitler, teachers will find many tools to create peace and a pleasant learning and living environment in their class. They will also receive an answer to the essential question of how to achieve this together with your colleagues within the entire school. This is a condition for a safe, growth-oriented class and school.

The Theory Made Concrete
Eduseries and Peter Teitler developed the EduSeries Lessons in order that provide concrete handles to the theory in the book. Using video lectures by Peter Teitler, video images from practice, assignments, and collaboration opportunities, you will gain more insight and handles for realizing a pleasant(r) working and living environment in your class and at your school.

Intervision With a Team
Lessons in order – intervision is a team training. This means that you not only work on your own development and on good weather in your own class, but that you also focus with your colleagues on a good climate for the entire school.

Using various intervision models, you will work in a group of up to six people per subject on a current issue or case that is playing out within the school or with one of your colleagues.

Through the online environment, you will be provided with an intervision model per module that specifically fits the subject of that module. As an intervision group, you will work on this independently.

Inspirational Meeting for the Entire School
Included in the EduSerie is an inspirational meeting by Peter Teitler himself. All colleagues of the school may attend this, making it easier to tackle certain changes school-wide. The intervision team agrees with Peter Teitler on a suitable moment for this.

Content

Knowledge
The EduSeries consists of five online modules:
- Pedagogical climate
- Operative action
- Appreciating and disapproving behavior
- The relationship between teacher and student
- The relationship between school and parents
- These online modules contain video lectures by Peter Teitler, assignments with interactive feedback, reading assignments for the book Lessons in Order, collaborative assignments, and background articles. The modules offer you theoretical knowledge and concrete tools for effective classroom management.

Reflection
Through the design and structure of the lesson modules in the online learning environment, you reflect step by step on classroom management in your situation. Using examples and elaborations thereof, you analyze the possibilities in your classroom in a structured way, and how you can collaborate with colleagues at your school.

Application
Each theoretical, online module includes an Intervision module. In this, you as an intervision team will receive tools to analyze and tackle current issues in a structured manner.

The intervision, supported by the examples and assignments from the online part of the course, gives you a larger repertoire of actions in the classroom. But you also gain more insight into the why and how of cooperation and coordination within the entire school.
