The Training

In one afternoon you will learn about the production process, the creative process and the in-depth elements such as the history and culture associated with the crafts, using a technique.

Craftsklas currently offers lessons for twelve different crafts. An extensive lesson package has been put together for teachers. This package offers teachers the necessary tools and guidelines to give the lessons themselves and to guide the children in their creative making processes.

During the training, the teachers are introduced to the working method of Craftsklas and they learn the making process by means of a craft. The training lasts approximately three hours and includes the following components:
- Introduction to maker education
- Learning one technique
- Guidance of manufacturing processes
- Applying background information

Beforehand, the school chooses one of the twelve crafts they want to learn during the training. The school receives the lesson package of this craft to perform in the classrooms after the training. The teachers get online access to the lesson material.

Learning Objectives

- After completing the training, teachers will have the knowledge to independently apply Craftsklas in their own classroom.
- At the end of the training, the teachers will master at least one craft technique.

Additional Information

The price is for a group of 4-12 people. If the group gets bigger, we will adjust the price. For this we will talk to the school to determine what the wish is. For example, organizing the workshop in two groups.
