Highly Sensitive Child in the Classroom? What Now?
Every person is unique and learns in their own way. One person thinks in pictures and the other reads a text and immediately understands what it says. This all has to do with how our brain works and is controlled.
In this training, the teacher learns how the brain of highly sensitive people (HSP) works. In addition, the teacher receives various tools that can be used in the classroom situation and beyond.
By means of exercises, theory and videos it becomes clear how 'adjustments' can be made in a very simple way in the classroom and in the school. The teacher is offered tools that make it more pleasant for the student to go to school and concentrate better on the lesson material.
Parts:
- Theory about the brain of an HSP and the development of high sensitivity;
- 'Facts' of being sensitive and 'the challenge' of dealing with sensitivities according to Elaine Aron – founder of the concept;
- Practical approach to intuition according to Carolina Bont – authority in the field of intuitive development;
- Practical tools to use before, during and after lessons and in discussions with parents.
Goal and result:
At the end of this training, the teacher can guide the highly sensitive student and provide tools. This guidance results in the following: The teacher understands how the brain of an HSP works, which allows him to tailor his education to this. The student goes to school with more pleasure and can distribute the energy better.
