Design Thinking fits very well with research and design learning. PIONIER! created a toolbox that translated the Design Thinking methodology for primary education. The phases of Design Thinking have become spaces in the DENKfabriek. Learn to work with the PIONIER! DENKfabriek toolbox.

In the DENKfabriek, students solve all kinds of problems.

- Always a crushed sandwich for lunch?
- Not enough space for all the cars before and after school?
- Too much waste that is not sorted?

After design sessions in the DENKfabriek, new, fresh solutions were devised, tested, and presented.

For education, we translated Design Thinking and the phases of this methodology to the DENKfabriek . Each space in the factory represents a phase in the process. Each space has different assignments that are carried out in groups of 2 to 5 students.

The working methods are suitable for pupils aged 9 and up. You choose how long you stay in the DENKfabriek. Will you make a project of it in separate lessons or will you come and spend a whole day design thinking in the DENKfabriek?

Turn your classroom into a design studio and solve problems for your school, neighborhood or city!

Design Thinking is a design methodology to arrive at a practical and creative solution for a problem. You design a step forward, you want to improve on what is already there. At the same time you realize that designing is an iterative process, which means that you can go through the phases of Design Thinking again and again.
