Description

These foundational modules, offered in formats ranging from one hour to ten, establish essential knowledge before progressing into deeper learning. They form the core foundation for reducing stress and supporting well-being in schools and communities. These can be designed and tailored to specific audiences. Provides an overview on the neurobiology of toxic stress and/or trauma, the impact of stress on youth/adults and introduces the science of hope, healing and resilience. The training will guide adults to understand the impact of toxic stress on children’s brains, behavior, learning, and development. The training introduces a range of trauma-responsive and resilience building strategies they can use to create strength-based relationships and environments that support children’s and adult's health, healing, and resiliency. This training has a core foundation; to support both students' and adults’ nervous system regulation. Rooted in the tenets of trauma-responsive strategies and current neuroscience, you will address stress-related behavioral challenges present in schools and the community including fight, flight, freeze, and fawn behaviors.

• 7 modules
• Hours can be adapted based on program need and may be 1-10 hours in length. Content can be delivered in a sequence of shorter segments.
