The Association for Citizenship Teaching (ACT) is the professional subject association for Citizenship teachers and educators, supporting the delivery of high-quality Citizenship education in schools and colleges across the UK. The organization provides teaching resources, curriculum guidance, professional development opportunities, policy insights, and specialist support to help educators teach Citizenship effectively and promote democratic participation, active citizenship, and civic understanding. ACT also publishes the Teaching Citizenship journal and connects members with a wider community of practitioners through events, networks, and regular updates on developments in Citizenship education.
