Dominique Foster
Dominique Foster is an educator, community organizer, and content creator. She currently teaches pre-kindergarten at Friendship Public Charter School’s Blow Pierce Academy and has more than 13 years of experience teaching young learners. With extensive training and experience in Montessori, Reggio Emilia, International Baccalaureate and Creative Curriculum approaches to learning, Foster pulls from each of these to create an engaging and inclusive classroom learning environment for children of all backgrounds. The consistent growth and success of her students have been well documented, as she has scored above the national threshold for five consecutive years on the Classroom Assessment Scoring System (CLASS) observation tool. In 2019, Foster received a nearly perfect score on the CLASS observation, placing her among the top early childhood educators in the country. Foster earned her Bachelor of Science in organizational communication from Xavier University and is currently back at Xavier working on her Master of Education in Montessori Education. When she is not in the classroom, Foster spends her time enjoying hot yoga classes, trying new dishes, and creating memories with family and friends

In this podcast, Dominique Foster shares practical strategies for designing a creative classroom for early childhood students. She talks about instructional design and physical space design. She also shares ways we can partner with stakeholders to help them see the vision for a creative classroom as well.
