Description

Designed for learners aged 7-9, this experiment explores how different liquids change when they freeze and helps students understand the properties of solids and liquids. Learners observe and compare frozen substances such as water, fizzy drinks, juices, oils, and honey, making predictions and recording how each material behaves after freezing. The activity develops scientific enquiry skills, including observing changes over time, interpreting results, and using scientific vocabulary to explain states of matter and changes of state caused by cooling.

This resource is also available in Welsh and Irish.
