Description

This lesson helps students explore plants and animals in their local area by creating their own field guide. Students begin by learning about species around them and sharing what they already know, then go on a walk to observe and record plants and animals through notes, sketches, or photos. The lesson ends with students sharing their work by combining all pages into a class field guide.
