Description
Students make a simple pinwheel using paper, a pushpin, and a pencil to explore how wind causes motion and makes objects spin. They decorate and assemble the pinwheel, then test it by blowing on it from different directions and strengths to see how it responds. The activity helps students understand basic ideas about wind, force, and movement while experimenting and observing cause and effect. It is designed for grades K-2 and typically takes about 45 minutes or less.
