Explore how color and patterns in nature help animals camouflage in their surroundings and discover how some animals can see colors that humans cannot.
This activity is a ready-made scavenger hunt that complements a visit to Color of Life exhibit. Just download, print, and make copies for your chaperones, as this activity is purposefully designed to be facilitated by chaperones rather than completed by student with pencils. By having adults focus on the reading, your young students can better explore the exhibits.
In this activity, chaperones will walk with their group and search for the listed animals in order to learn about color and patterns in nature. When the students discover an animal, the kids can use their imagination (and develop critical thinking skills) by discussing the questions included.
