Description
Made for kindergarten to grade 3, Crab Walk Relay is a small-group physical education activity that builds dynamic balance and coordination through a relay challenge. In teams of four, students take turns crab walking from a start line to a finish line while dribbling a ball with their feet (or using a simpler variation like balancing a bean bag), then return and pass the object to the next teammate. The activity promotes teamwork, communication, and encouragement among peers while developing strength, coordination, and locomotor skills, and it includes reflection prompts to help young learners think about how their bodies moved and how they supported their teammates.
