Course Summary
The Yoga 4 Classrooms® Self-Paced “Yoga & Mindfulness in the Classroom” Training self-paced online training equips educators, counselors, and youth-serving professionals with the knowledge, tools, and confidence to integrate simple, developmentally appropriate yoga and mindfulness practices into the school day, no mats, special clothing, or prior experience required.
Through engaging video lessons, downloadable resources, and practical demonstrations, you’ll learn how to use breathing techniques, mindful movement, relaxation, and focus activities to enhance self-regulation, attention, and social-emotional learning while supporting a positive classroom climate.
Designed with busy schedules in mind, you can start anytime and work at your own pace, applying strategies immediately to support both student well-being and your own resilience. Rooted in research and trauma-informed practices, this training empowers you to create calmer, more connected, and more productive learning environments, one mindful moment at a time.
In this course, Step 1 of our 3-Step Implementation Success Path, you’ll learn how integrating “mindful moments” into the class day can be a simple and effective way to enhance the teaching and learning experience while supporting whole child development, teacher well-being, and a positive and inclusive climate. • Design outcome-focused sequences based on the contextual need and the time available: calming, focusing, energizing, community-building, etc.
• Crosswalk MY-SEL (mindfulness, yoga, social and emotional learning) with a variety of school roles and standards as well as school and district-wide goals and national educational policy.

As employers and credentialing organizations have their own requirements and application process, you should confirm that your training hours (6 contact hours) will apply toward your degree or continuing education or professional development requirements. Additionally, through Yoga 4 Classrroms partner, University of the Pacific – Benerd College. you may apply to earn up to 3 graduate-level credits upon completion of a professional development learning opportunity with Yoga4Classrooms.
Registered Yoga Teachers earn 6 Continuing Education Contact Hours for this workshop when presented by an E-RYT / YAECP. Contact Yoga 4 Classrooms to verify your presenter is an E-RYT / YAECP.
Contact hours for this workshop are also valid toward the Yoga Alliance specialty designation of Registered Children’s Yoga Teacher (RCYT) for those completing ChildLight Education Company’s 95hr. Registered Children’s Yoga School (RCYS). Educators attending the Yoga 4 Classrooms PD and IMPLEMENT Leader Training earn 23 hours toward the ChildLight RCYS 95-hour Program!
