In the first unit, you will be introduced to depression, as well as how grief, life changes and stress can all trigger depression.

2. Signs and Symptoms of Depression
In this unit you will explore the signs and symptoms of depression to strengthen your understanding, you will also cover the risk factors for developing depression.

3. Support
This unit will cover the different types of support available for the child, as well as the help and support available for the parent/caregiver who may need this while supporting a child with depression. This unit will also look at how primary and secondary schools can also help.

4. Treatment
In the final unit of the course you will focus on the treatment available for children and adolescents who suffer from depression. Including creating a treatment plan for the child, counselling and medication.
