Children and young people who have experienced trauma often communicate their distress through behaviour. What might look like aggression, withdrawal, or avoidance is often a nervous system response to feeling unsafe.

The TECA e-learning course introduces a practical tool - the Trauma Expression and Connection Assessment - to help adults better understand and respond to these trauma expressions. Grounded in relational and trauma-responsive practice, this course helps you support emotional safety, connection, and healing for the children in your care.
