Description

This high impact course will be delivered in four bite-sized episodes (each around 15 minutes long). It contains a clearly explained and highly practical approach to the power of play with children. It is appropriate for early years classroom teachers, and is equally beneficial if working as a teaching assistant.

Expect an honest appraisal of the strategies and techniques that are effective in understanding the need for the physical environment in children.

The course is fully practical, designed to equip staff with a range of effective interventions to use with students when supporting them as a teacher.

• Evaluation of footage of DJ Pryor and his son's interaction
• Interview from Good Morning America
• Assessing barriers to quality interactions and your classroom setting
• Looking at resources: Anna Ephgrave - Early Years Trainer and Teacher
• Understanding the key elements of quality interactions
• The REWARDING/CHALLENGING structure
• Noticing what children love, what you want to teach them and how to combine the two
