Proof of participation
This course is for primary school teachers. You do not have to be an expert, but you do have an affinity with nature and sustainability. You find it interesting to work and learn together with other teachers. You find it interesting to delve into (scientific) theory and to try out new educational activities with your students.
About the Course
We work with two themes: Becoming Beyond Competent and EducationBecoming Beyond Competent.
Becoming proficient:
- You are (more) at ease in nature. You know what nature means to you and you know what can be found there.
- You are competent in earthly skills, such as making fire, finding your way, recognizing edible plants and bringing more nature to the square.
- You are a competent observer.
- You have basic knowledge of the reciprocal relationships of people with nature in the context of sustainability.
EducationBecoming proficient:
- You are comfortable using the earth as a classroom. You know what it means to the children, what you want to teach them and how you do this.
- You have basic knowledge of the importance of nature for the health, well-being and development of children, and can apply this in your education of children.
- You have basic knowledge of the importance of children's contact with nature for the earth, and can apply this in your education of children at different ages. You design tailor-made educational activities for games, language, arithmetic, artistic orientation, citizenship, world orientation that can be carried out on or around your own schoolyard.
- You have seen and experienced the benefits of providing your education outside.
- You are skilled in using the earth as a classroom, you can identify its educational values and know how to explain this to colleagues and parents.
