Description
Giving feedback doesn’t have to feel awkward — and listening well is more than just staying quiet.
In today’s fast-moving workplaces, how we communicate matters more than ever. This practical, one-day course will help you develop two essential (and often overlooked) skills: listening assertively and giving positive, constructive feedback that builds trust rather than tension.
Whether you’re a manager, team member or someone who wants to improve collaboration, this workshop will help you speak up with confidence and listen in a way that makes people feel truly heard.
Course Overview
This one-day in-person course helps you build confidence in two critical areas of communication: assertive listening and effective feedback. You’ll learn what it means to really listen (not just wait your turn to speak), and how to give feedback that’s honest, helpful and kind — even when it’s difficult.
Using real-life examples, structured practice and self-reflection, you’ll walk away with tools you can use straight away to improve relationships and communication at work.
Why Take This Course?
• Learn how to listen actively and assertively — not passively or aggressively
• Understand how to give feedback that supports growth, not defensiveness
• Discover how feedback can motivate and empower (not just critique)
• Build confidence in both everyday conversations and more formal feedback
• Create a safer, more open team culture by listening and speaking more effectively
• Practise real-life scenarios in a safe, supportive environment
• Leave with tools you can use immediately at work
