More movement is great, but we still spend a large part of the day sitting. That is unavoidable. That is why Zit met Pit! likes to take things a step further. Zit met Pit! not only focuses on moving more, but also pays attention to good sitting posture.
Sitting properly when using a screen, whether it is a laptop, tablet or smartphone. Whether you are a child, teenager or adult. It is just as important as paying attention to good handwriting posture in Year 3. In this digital age, it may even be more important.
Workshop for teachers
But how do you do that as a teacher? As a teacher, you were trained to impart knowledge to children. In this age of digital learning resources such as screens, however, other things are also expected of you. Such as knowing what to pay attention to when you let children work with tablets, and incorporating sufficient movement throughout your teaching day. Zit met Pit! addresses these topics during the training.
Get started!
Under the guidance of a professional, you will learn all about the risks of sitting too much and sitting incorrectly, but above all, you will get hands-on. You will experiment with different sitting postures. And even more importantly: how do you apply this when using tablets in your classroom?
You will also learn how active learning can be integrated into the regular curriculum. Throughout the day, every day. Without it requiring effort or extra time. Because you are busy enough as it is, right?
Active learning
Everything is allowed during the training, except sitting still! Before you know it, you will be lying on the floor, jumping up and down or having balls flying around your ears.
We teach you how to turn your learning objectives into practical applications. Without purchasing expensive teaching kits, but simply by using the materials already available in your classroom.
Ergonomics
It is no longer just about that one correct sitting posture. In fact, it does not even exist. But there is one thing that is always important, regardless of how you sit on it: the chair.
During the training, you will be introduced to the ‘Zit met Pit! Lower-Leg Measure’. This is a tool that allows you to determine which size chair is suitable for each child. Choosing the right size for every child already makes a significant difference.
Accredited
Finally, also important: the workshop has been accredited by Register Leraar for 5RU. After the workshop, you will receive a certificate bearing your name.
