Working Conference ‘How Do You Do It?’

How can you, as a teacher educator, systematically address the topic of healthy relationships & sexuality? And how can this become an integral part of the curriculum? During the online working conference How Do You Do It? on 7 October, we will work on this concretely from 9:30 to 12:15 through round-table discussions and inspiration sessions.

The working conference is organised by School & Veiligheid and Rutgers as part of the Stimuleringsregeling Seksuele en Relationele Vorming. It is part of a project to support teacher educators in training future teachers in the area of healthy relationships and sexuality. To this end, practical guides, e-learning courses and tools for teacher educators are being developed. In addition, special newsletters containing tips, tools and in-depth information are published around four times a year, separately for primary teacher education programmes and teacher education programmes.

Programme

During the conference, among other things, the e-learning courses developed by School & Veiligheid and Rutgers for teacher educators will be presented. During the inspiration sessions, participants can then discuss with one another and the session leaders how they can apply these in practice. There are separate inspiration sessions for:

primary teacher education
social studies and biology teacher education
healthcare and welfare teacher education
general teacher education

Our Food Week

From 3 to 10 October 2026, it is Our Food Week. A great opportunity to focus with your class at primary school on where our food comes from, how it is made and why healthy and sustainable choices are important. Food education allows pupils not only to learn, but especially to experience. That is why various organisations are joining forces to support schools with inspiring activities, teaching materials and practical tools. Examples include the Mayors’ Breakfast, a free visit to a farm, or shopping vouchers for cooking in the classroom.

This way, your pupils will discover why tap water is healthy and how to turn it into a festive drink!
