Session description
How do you challenge young people to exercise and ensure that they spend less time sitting? During this webinar, we will talk to various sports and physical activity professionals, as well as a number of young people.
We will explore young people’s sports and physical activity behaviour by talking to them about their motivations and barriers regarding sports and physical activity. During a round-table discussion, we will discuss various factors that influence young people’s sports, physical activity and sitting behaviour, and how you can respond to these. We will highlight success stories and challenges with Marieke Fix (practitioner in Health, Sports and Physical Activity), Bastiaan Plaizier (ROC Amsterdam), and Mike Peters (Stanislas Beweeg-vmbo/mavo). We will also involve young people in this discussion so that they can help think about opportunities and solutions. During this session, you will receive plenty of tips on involving young people and working together on their motivations and barriers.
