Webinar ‘Don’t Let Me Go’ for education professionals on child abuse

How do you talk to a child who may be experiencing child abuse? And what can you do for a child and their family, even when a report is made? In short: how do you establish contact and not let go as an education professional?

In the webinar, organised by the Netherlands Youth Institute in cooperation with De Kindertelefoon, we will talk to various guests. We will share insights and provide practical guidance. There will also be an opportunity to ask questions via the chat.

Speakers include:

• Annet Cupedo, work supervisor at De Kindertelefoon; on how to make genuine contact and the barriers children experience when reaching out to the ‘outside world’.
• Marieke Kuiper, Child Abuse Safeguarding Officer; on how you can build trust in a straightforward way.
• Agnes Derksen, Netherlands Youth Institute;
  on how, particularly as an education professional, you can provide a safe environment.
