Round 3 is a shortened round. For this reason, the Water Points Grant asks you to carefully consider whether you will actually proceed with installing a water point after the grant has been awarded. The aim is to support as many schools as possible with a financial contribution towards installation.

Registration for the third round of the Water Points Grant runs from 8 March through 19 April 2021. In the second week of May, the Water Points Grant will inform schools about the grants awarded.

About the Water Points Grant

The Water Points Grant is an initiative of the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport and stems from the National Prevention Agreement. JOGG, the Netherlands Nutrition Centre and the Healthy School programme implement the scheme. The guiding principle is to promote a healthy lifestyle; drinking tap water contributes to this.

Tap Water and Healthy School

Schools wishing to obtain the Healthy School Nutrition theme certificate must have a hygienic water facility where pupils, students and staff can draw water. A water point in the schoolyard or in the school building (for example, in the cafeteria) is therefore a good starting point for working on the Healthy School Nutrition theme.
