Introducing: Mary Opperman
Mary Opperman is a policy adviser on pedagogy and quality and a trainer at Wasko Childcare in Papendrecht. Drawing on her expertise, she is happy to advise on how pedagogical professionals in your childcare organization can teach children healthy behavioral patterns that will benefit them throughout their lives.
Introducing: Petra Domhof
Petra Domhof is a branch manager at Humankind childcare in the municipality of Aalten. She is happy to think along with organizations about how they can get started with Healthy Childcare. She herself works for a large organization with multiple locations and many employees. She therefore knows the challenges involved in getting everyone on board in such an organization.
The ambassadors of Healthy Childcare
Healthy Childcare works with ambassadors. These are experienced Healthy Childcare coaches or teachers who actively promote a healthy lifestyle for children within their own organizations. The ambassadors are committed to encouraging and inspiring other organizations to also get started with Healthy Childcare and continue their efforts. They are happy to help make working on a healthy lifestyle a matter of course in every childcare organization or training program.
Engaging ambassadors
Anyone wishing to engage an ambassador can email them. Because they work at both large and small organizations, for example as staff members, managers and/or owners or teachers, there is always someone who matches the request. Ambassadors know what is going on in childcare and what practical questions about lifestyle you may encounter. Seven ambassadors can be contacted by email by a childcare organization, two by a childminding agency and two by a vocational education institution.
