Who is it for?

Candidates for the training course:

  • are driven and enthusiastic about teaching children about food preparation;
  • have an affinity with preparing healthy and sustainable food;
  • are available on both training days (Thursdays 15 January and 5 February);
  • possess a Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG), or are willing to apply for one during their work. This is not necessary for the training course, but it is required for carrying out work as a guest teacher;
  • after completing the training course according to the criteria, will have their profile displayed on Cooking Coaches North Brabant | Jong Leren Eten

What will you do?

Expect a practical training course with plenty of room for your own input. Theory is immediately linked to practical assignments during the course days themselves. In addition to the two training days, you will work on homework assignments and find a school yourself where you can give a short guest lesson. These assignments help you apply the lessons learned directly in practice.

You will learn:

  • How to get children enthusiastic about cooking and healthy, sustainable food
  • About health and sustainability
  • Teaching skills for teaching in a classroom
  • How to respond to the behaviour of children and young people and how to adapt to it
  • Food safety and occupational health and safety legislation
  • Practical tips for organising cooking activities that suit the target group
