Online publication
Earlier this year, the Knowledge Centre launched the online publication containing information and practical guidance for discussing the theme ‘the importance of physical activity for children’ with parents. It is intended to supplement professionals’ knowledge and raise parents’ awareness. Part of the online publication is specifically intended for parents themselves; professionals can share this page with parents after a consultation. The information can also help when talking to collaboration partners, so that together they can encourage physical activity among children.
Flyer in the shape of a cube
The flyer in the shape of a cube is intended to be given to parents after a consultation. The printing on the cube explains the importance of physical activity for young children in a nutshell (inside), supplemented with ‘facts’ about how physical activity relates to other lifestyle topics (outside). This gives parents something to work on at home. The QR code on the cube links to the online publication, where parents can find more information or tips.
Poster
The elongated poster is intended for the wall in the waiting room or consultation room. The poster features a measuring tape that children can measure themselves against. It also contains various ‘facts’ about the effects of physical activity on young children and how this relates to other lifestyle topics. If parents have questions after seeing the poster, they can ask them during the consultation. This helps professionals: it encourages parents to actively ask questions about physical activity or other related lifestyle topics and parenting issues.
Who is it for?
Benefits and Necessity is primarily aimed at professionals who work with children, such as paediatric physiotherapists, community sports coaches and professionals in youth healthcare or childcare. Curious about Benefits and Necessity? Go to the product page and open the online publication or request the toolbox containing the poster and cube.
