1. Drive MONO
Whether you get in the car or go cycling: travel without distractions! Put your phone away safely and turn off notifications so you are not distracted. VVN has a page with six tips for travelling without distractions from your smartphone.
  2. Reduce your speed and leave on time
After the summer period, it takes some getting used to the busy traffic again. So drive a little more slowly, especially in the area around schools. If you leave home a little earlier, you will have more time to get from A to B relaxed – and safely.
  3. A safe bicycle (route)
The start of the new school year is the perfect time for a bicycle check. For example, check the brakes, saddle height and lights. Is your child cycling a new route this year? Practise it together so that your daughter or son is well prepared when setting off.
