To inspire the children, Jantje Beton has already posted nine fun play tips on the website.

MAKE YOUR OWN RACETRACK

Use sidewalk chalk in different colors to draw a racetrack on the pavement. Let your imagination run wild; anything is possible. After all, it’s your imagination racetrack! Get your toy cars and turn it into a real race!

WATER OBSTACLE COURSE

Great for a hot day! Make a fun water obstacle course or a slalom with a bucket at the end. Put a container of water on your head and get moving! How much water will you have left at the end?

AND: SCORE!

Cut different shapes out of an old sheet or piece of cardboard. Write the score beneath the shapes with a thick black marker. Try to shoot the ball through the shapes. Whoever scores the most points after three attempts wins!

MAKE YOUR OWN GIANT BUBBLE WAND

Find some large sticks and a piece of string with a ring attached to it. Double the string over and tie it to the ends of the sticks. Dip it into the soapy water and create the most beautiful giant bubbles.

CURB BALL

Throw the ball at your opponent’s curb. You earn points if you throw it at the edge and the ball rolls or bounces back onto your half. The first person to score 15 points wins!

MESSY GAME

You’ll need: treats that can withstand water, a container of water, and a container of flour. Try to retrieve something from the container of water with your hands behind your back. Done? On to the next container, but this time it’s hidden in flour.

MISSION (IM)POSSIBLE!

All you need is a long piece of string. Stretch the string from the fence to the garden bench, crisscrossing it and placing it at different heights. Ready? Time for action! Wriggle your way through without touching the lines!

NAIL THE BOTTLE

Set out a number of empty bottles and tie a long cord around your hips with a nail attached to the bottom. The aim is to be the first to get the nail into the bottle by lowering yourself down.
