Theme: The Nature Squad
To celebrate the tenth anniversary, Marjolein van der Gaag has written the book ‘The Secret of the Nature Squad’. The book is about Levi, Samir and Zoë, who secretly start greening their neighborhood and experience all kinds of exciting adventures along the way. During this edition, we are calling on all children to form a nature squad too, so that together they can take action for nature. You can already reserve the book through publisher Leopold. You can also take part in Outdoor Learning Day without the book.
Lesson package and competition
By registering, you will receive the lesson package, tailored to the lower, middle and upper grades. With the help of the lesson package, children discover what they can do for nature close to home. Nature education, as well as language, spatial orientation and mathematics, are covered, and the one and only forest ranger Tim from KRO-NCRV has another fun morning activity in store for the children!
IVN will raffle 50 nature squad packages among the participants! A package full of materials that your nature squad can use. Think of pocket magnifying glasses, identification cards, seeds and the exciting book ‘The Secret of the Nature Squad’ to make the day complete. Register by 16 March at the latest for a chance to win!

This year too, forest ranger Tim is giving away a fun outdoor lesson to an enthusiastic primary school class. Register for Outdoor Learning Day, go outside with us on 8 April 2025, follow the Nature Squad lesson package and share your class’s best outdoor learning experience that day via Instagram or Facebook.
The winner will be notified by 15 April at the latest. IVN Nature Education will contact you via social media. Have you won? You will then have five working days to respond; if there is no response after five working days, another winner will be selected. No correspondence will be entered into regarding the result.
