Since the first edition in 2009, MediaMasters has been played by more than 800,000 children aged nine to twelve. In this tenth edition, pupils discover through play how to deal with topics such as WhatsApp, privacy, cybercrime, online bullying, fake news and more in a media-literate way.
Over the course of 5 game days, MediaMasters takes pupils on an exciting adventure. The young inventor Layla is invited to the programme Young Inventors: The Battle. She decides to take part, but her invention is not finished yet and it seems that her opponent is not playing the game fairly. The pupils can help Layla by answering questions and completing assignments, earning bits along the way. Will Layla and the pupils manage to finish the invention in time after all?
In addition to the competition and the chance to win great prizes, every class receives a Media Report. The Media Report shows the results a class has achieved for various topics within the field of digital literacy. For each topic, you can see its strengths and areas for improvement. This gives teachers an immediate overview of which subjects require extra attention.
