An extra push in the right direction
This temporary scheme is intended to give schools an extra push to work on a healthy lifestyle during the coronavirus pandemic. The incentive consists of an amount of €1,200 per school location. The school must spend this amount in 2021. A school will also receive support from a Healthy School adviser from the Municipal Health Service (GGD) in the region (a maximum of 4 hours of support) and webinar(s) on the Healthy School approach.
Working on a healthy lifestyle
A school can use the 2021 Healthy School Incentive to purchase approved Healthy School activities (for primary education, special education, secondary education and vocational education), to reimburse the hours worked by a member of the school's own staff who has been appointed as Healthy School coordinator, and to contribute towards the costs of participating in the postgraduate course Specialist in Sporty and Healthy Schools.
