This is shown by research conducted by the Mulier Institute, which, commissioned by the Royal Dutch Billiards Federation (KNBB), investigated the use of pool tables in combination with the teaching package and the satisfaction of teachers and students with SmartPool.

Other important findings:

  • A large majority of teachers see the value of the pool tables (82% rated them satisfactory or good) and the teaching package (83% rated it satisfactory or good) for achieving the educational objectives of math lessons. Teachers are somewhat more divided (67% rated it satisfactory or good) when it comes to the contribution of the teaching package to making math lessons easier and/or easier to understand.
  • Teachers see that the pool tables and the teaching package contribute to improving the sense of enjoyment/atmosphere at school and promoting billiards/pool among students.
  • Almost all students (97%) say that they enjoy using the mobile, foldable pool tables at school. Two thirds of the students enjoy completing the exercises from the teaching package. Approximately two thirds of the students who used the teaching package found the exercises difficult.
  • Nine out of ten teachers expect that the mobile, foldable pool tables will also be used during lessons in the future.
