During the Media Ukkie Days from 25 March to 1 April 2022, attention is drawn to media literacy in the upbringing of children aged 0 to 6. With the theme swipe, step, leap, we answer questions such as: can you let a child play alone with a tablet, TV, smartphone or book, or is it better to play together? How do you guide a child step by step through the ‘digital world’? How can you use media so that a child also learns from it and makes leaps forward? And how do you make choices that align with the child’s development?
Do you also consider these important topics, or are you also concerned about them? Take action too and join the Media Ukkie Days with your library, educational institution, childcare organisation or parenting organisation, and organise an activity, create (teaching) materials or address the subject in another way.
